The Planning process included a review of services and amenities that currently exist in the community and identified trends and opportunities for enhancements.
PRC Solutions was hired to complete the Master Plan process. Established in 2015, PRC Solutions is a consulting firm that aims to ‘engage, create and deliver’ in their quest to create engaging spaces and direction for community well-being. The firm has worked with many communities to complete older adult service reviews and strategies, age-friendly needs assessments, cultural action plans and parks plans.
A major component of the process was to provide an opportunity for residents, users, staff and stakeholders to provide input. This was done through a variety of events in 2018, namely: a public survey process, interviews, several focus groups a public meeting held on August 13, pop up events over the summertime, and a community workshop in September of 2018.
