Accessible Sport, Health & Leisure and Youth Programs

Clearview Township in partnership with local organizations, businesses and individuals provides a variety of recreation and leisure programs to meet the needs of residents.  For a complete listing, please view the most recent edition of the Clearview Activity Guide.


Affordable Recreation - Youth Programs 

There are a variety of financial assistance programs available to help families support their children’s participation in sports and recreational programs. These programs aim to reduce financial barriers and ensure that every child has the opportunity to stay active, build skills, and be part of a team—regardless of their family’s financial situation. 

Families are encouraged to explore these community resources that can help cover costs such as registration fees, equipment, and uniforms:

KidSport Ontario - Provincial Fund

C.L.E.A.R (Access to Affordable Recreation Policy)

C.L.E.A.R. (Community Leisure for Eligibleyouth at Affordable Rates) is an exciting, inclusive recreation program designed to provide fun and engaging activities for youth in Clearview Township. Whether it’s sports, arts, outdoor adventures, or just having fun with friends, C.L.E.A.R. ensures that all eligible youth have access to affordable, high-quality recreation opportunities. With a focus on community, connection, and creativity, C.L.E.A.R. is where every eligible youth can shine, stay active, and be part of something special.

Active Communities Project (ACP)

With the Resilient Communities Fund Grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF), the Clearview Active Communities project aims to create sustainable programs for all ages and abilities, expand programs at the Youth Centre, and undertake research and engagement to shape future active recreation opportunities.

Active Communities Project Programs

  • Get ready to sweep into action with Floor Curling, a fun and accessible indoor game perfect for adults looking to stay active and social in a relaxed setting. Played on a smooth surface with lightweight equipment, Floor Curling is ideal for those new to the sport or anyone looking for a low-impact way to enjoy friendly competition. No ice required

    When: October 8, 2025 - November 12, 2025

    5:00 PM - 6:30 PM

  • Short Mat bowling is similar to lawn bowling however is played on a 45ft mat. The objective of the game is to get your bowls closest to the jack and outscore your opponents. Come try this new and exciting sport! No experience required.

    When: October 20, 2025 - December 8, 2025

    1:30 PM - 3:30PM

  • Strong Foundations is a strength training program designed for youth and young athletes looking to build confidence, improve performance, and develop safe movement habits. This class focuses on proper technique, functional strength, and body awareness to support both everyday activity and sport-specific goals. It's a great way to lay the groundwork for lifelong fitness.

    When: September 15, 2025 - October 6, 2025 

    5:00PM - 5:45PM

  • Build strength, boost endurance, and improve mobility in this full-body kettlebell workout designed for adults 18+. This 4-week program focuses on functional movements, proper technique, and safe progression—whether you're new to kettlebells or looking to push your limits. 

    When: November 19, 2025 - December 10, 2025

    5:00PM - 5:45PM

    Where: Stayner Arena

    Cost: $12 ($3 per session)

  • Improve how you move in daily life with this guided mobility class designed for adults of all fitness levels. Unlike flexibility, which focuses on passive stretching, mobility is the ability to actively move through a full range of motion with control and strength. Through targeted exercises and gentle movement, this class supports joint health, balance, and overall physical function—helping you stay active, independent, and pain-free. Perfect for those looking to move better, feel better, and support long-term wellness.

    When: August 27, 2025 - October 1, 2025

  • Active Aging is a low impact fitness class designed for adults 55+. Weight training is a great way to help reduce sarcopenia (muscle loss), improve bone density and coordination. Step into a stronger and more confident you!

    When: September 22, 2025 at 11AM
